The lack of great universities does not mean much when you have a pool of intellectually strong people walking the streets of Prishtina.
Kosova has one major University that meets high standards when it comes to preparing students for the real world. That University is AUK (American University in Kosovo). Most of the students that do graduate from this University have a greater intellectual access to critical thinking and progressively contributing to any team. Please, understand that this post is not to bash on other Universities in Kosova (there are many other good ones as well), but my point is well beyond the institutional approach to learning.
This article is about sharing. No, not in a social/communist way, but in a real capitalist attitude with a benefit to you and all those around you that you influence and those that influence you everyday.
——
I have many friends and colleagues in Prishtina that are doing some amazing things, either as awesome employees at an up and coming company or as an innovative employer at their own joint. On the other specter of things, there are many young individuals with high potential that don’t quite have access to great educational opportunities and knowledge, either because of financial reasons or lack of a proper outlet to get such an education. Now, it’s not that there are no good professors at hand— there are a few. However, what is lacking in other universities is a progressive approach to teaching and learning— which is a result of poor organizational skills of some of the individuals leading these institutions. “Financial strains” is another reason these universities are not able to deliver— though financial issues are not a basis for a solid excuse.

Well, I am leaving my rant about Kosova’s Universities up to the paragraphs above for you to judge and comprehend, disagree and so forth. But, the stronger point I am trying to make is this:
— Let’s share knowledge!
Yes, I know. It sounds very simple, but in reality sharing knowledge is not such an easy thing to do. It means giving away part of you, which was probable so hard to acquire. But, lets stop here for a moment: Things each one of us knows are a result of accumulated elements from years and years of studying, which by the way most of it we did not invent. All of it was (and still is) out there written in books and other credible online sources. Yes, I know, some of us even spent thousands in cash in getting university degrees from world accredited institutions. But, this does not mean that the knowledge we’ve acquired technically through amazing universities makes us unique in any way. What makes each one of us unique is our individual innovation that helps us re-organize, re-use, and re-arrange all that information in our brains and allow us to come up with amazing products and services— a task we cannot possibly teach or give away in a tangible technical form, even if we tried. If you share knowledge, you will be only sharing what you have learned so far to young and promising individuals who will take that knowledge and re-arrange it in their own idiosyncratic innovative ways. And better yet, you would be leaving something behind and influencing an amazing change around your life, community, city, and country.
So, why share?
By sharing your hard attained knowledge, you’re not only making the world a better place, but you might be one of the lucky ones who through sharing find out that some of the things you “know” might not be so well founded, thus you’d have the chance to correct that and re-learn something in the process yourself.
Lets share knowledge. Lets share in various specters of life: Design, Architecture, Medicine, Finance, and any other subject that you are really good at.
boldUnderline. llc strives in sharing and giving out as much information as we possibly can to clients, colleagues, and fans alike. We believe that by doing so we not only grow in the process, but we better our design industry as well, which in turn will create more demand for us as individuals and our great services.
How to share?
Start up a blog. Lets say you are a medical doctor specializing in heart disease. Start a blog by writing about various cases that you feel might help a student without an access to that information at his/her university.
Start giving away courses (for a fee). You are a great filmmaker. Start a course— tutoring young individuals hands-on approach to film-making.
Point young aspiring individuals to the right source. You are a agricultural expert specializing in corn-oil manufacturing. You get a question from a young individual relating to olive-oil, point them to another individual with this particular knowledge.
——
Always continue learning, better yourself in your field, and keep sharing that knowledge you attain. You never know what good thing may come out of it.
